In Sylvis

Our story begins in 2014, when we replanted vineyards and olive trees on our family estate after many years. Our wine and other products bear the name In Sylvis (Latin for “in the forests”), which carries multiple layers of symbolism. The village where we grew up and where the vineyard is located was named after a monastery known in history as Monasterium Sancti Petri in Sylvis – the Monastery of Saint Peter in the Woods. The vineyard itself is located in a remote part of the village, right next to the ruins of one of the oldest parts of Sveti Petar u Šumi and is completely surrounded by forest. In such a peaceful environment, the vision for the future of our winery becomes self-evident: to borrow the best that the Istrian land has to offer and, with immeasurable love and care, produce wine that captivates with its personality, taste, and aroma.
